The Gala bingo site has always been at the forefront of new and inventive means of promotion that tend to capture both the public and the industry’s imaginations.
For example, ever since Gala took on Sharon Osbourne other smaller brands have been clamouring for celebrity support. This has led to a bizarre parade of names fronting our sites over the last year from Stuart Hall of Betfred to Jordan on Foxy.
How the Obama presidency can change the lives of the people in the UK
Now Gala has stepped up their endorsement initiative a few more gears to bring us Mrs Obama bingo for 2009. Mrs Keiza Obama, Barack's stepmother currently lives in Bracknell and is a bingo fan herself. This love of the game meant she was more than happy to put her name to the latest in a long line of charitable games from Gala to support Sue Ryder care.
An innovation in fundraising
As part of their drive to achieve the intended £1 million bingo bonus for this essential charity that Gala hopes to raise by 2010, the new Mrs Obama Bingo game will donate 10p to the cause for every £1 you play with.
The game itself starts on January 14th through to Friday January 23rd and is seen as a combination of celebration for the Obama family and as part of a wider aim to work to promote very good causes.
Help Gala achieve their goal
Gala chose to help fund the 14 care centres round the UK after an overwhelming vote in the charity’s favour by Gala employees themselves.
The Chief Executive of the Sue Ryder Foundation has said of having Mrs Obama's support “It’s great news that Mrs Obama has decided to lend her support to help raise vital funds for Sue Ryder Care”.
