Wagering Requirements – What are they?

altDo you ever read the Terms and Conditions at an online bingo brand before you make a deposit or are you like many players who simply don’t bother? Terms and Conditions are like the small print of a site and contain some quite interesting information including details of the wagering requirements for any bonuses received and all too often these can come back to bite you on the posterior if you do not really understand what they are.

At some brands if the wagering requirements are not met then withdrawals cannot be processed and this is where you can get caught out. For the most part though, trusted networks and brands have easy to follow rules governing wagering and withdrawals so please don’t let them put you off playing your favourite game on the Internet.

Here we look at a couple of standard examples from a number of networks and bingo sites online today; these are for comparison purposes to give you an insight of what wagering requirements are and how they work.

Dragonfish Network Wagering Requirements

There are over 100 sites online today that are part of the Dragonfish network and these have probably the easiest wagering requirements to understand. As standard the site requires that the amount you deposit and bonus received are wagered 4x.

For example: A 1st deposit of £10 using the standard 100% first deposit cash match bonus would require that you have to wager £80.

However the Dragonfish wagering requirements are not strict, a withdrawal can be processed prior to meeting the requirements set out in their Terms and Conditions, however any bonus funds remaining in your account will be forfeited at the time of withdrawal.

You do have to have deposited at least £30 in your account in your lifetime as a player at the Dragonfish brand and have at least £20 in your account before a withdrawal can be processed though.

Chelbis Company Wagering Requirements

There are a number of networks under the Chelbis Company but the Cozy Games bingo software powers all sites on these networks. The wagering requirements for these brands vary from network to network and below you will find examples for two. Where the Cozy Games sites differ is that they offer their players two options for bonuses, cash and bonus funds, and the wagering differs dependent on the bonus offer taken AND the games you are playing.

Live Bingo Network

All wagering requirements are deposit amount plus bonus received.

Cash Option:

Bingo – 6x
Slots / Keno / Scratchcards – 12x
Other games – 20x

Bonus Option:

Bingo – 4x
Slots / Keno / Scratchcards – 10x
Other games – 15x

Super Bingo Network

Cash Option:

Bingo – 3x
Casino  – 8x

Bonus Option:

Bingo – 2x
Casino – 6x

Unlike the Dragonfish network, these wagering requirements are strict and have to be met before a withdrawal can be processed. Additionally you must have deposited at least £25 into your account in your lifetime as player with the site AND have at least £50 real cash in your account.

Also your bonus fund account, even if wagering has been met, will be reduced according to the cash remaining in your account when you process a withdrawal; i.e. if you have £150 in cash and £200 in bonus funds if you withdrew the full cash balance your bonus account would be zero. However if you withdrew only £100 your bonus account would be £50, the same as your cash balance.

Wagering requirements should not be confused with deposits; they are two completely different things. Whilst it might seem impossible to meet an £80 wagering requirement from a £10 deposit you have to consider that you may win with your deposit thus increasing the amount you spend at the site.

Another point you should note is that when your balances reach zero, then wagering is considered met and only comes into play again when you claim another bonus by making subsequent deposits.
