altA brand-new TV ad campaign has been revealed by Foxy Bingo this month, following the signing of a multi-million pound deal with The Biscuit Agency. Biscuit are a production company and creative agency which is known for delivering massively successful campaigns for well-known brands such as Guinness, Orange, P&G, ITV, Weetabix, Unilever, Bwinparty Gaming, and Maplin, to name just a few. The first of the series of television adverts was launched on Monday, 14th January 2013, and looks set to take Foxy’s marketing in a whole new direction. To ramp up the anticipation levels, Foxy Bingo ran online teasers the week before the ads were due to air, giving both fans and new players the chance to see what the online games site is all about.

In previous campaigns, the site’s mascot, Foxy, has been portrayed as a celebrity, and the brand has also used other TV stars to endorse its products. For example, Katie Price was the face of the site in 2006, giving bingo a bit of sex appeal, whilst Stacey Soloman also won their Celebrity Mum of the Year Award (although it was soon retracted after she was papped smoking a cigarette while she was pregnant). In recent years, both Lauren Goodger and Lucy Mecklenburgh from TOWIE joined forces with the company to launch Fox’s own brand of fake tan and perfume.

However, in the latest advert designed by the team at The Biscuit Agency, the purple-suited fox is given the role of local hero, as he travels the UK, collecting excited players as he goes, on his Prize Bus. Wending his way from seaside resorts, to the streets of London, and down to the annual Glastonbury Festival, Foxy and his fans sing their own version of Hot Chocolate’s You Sexy Thing, and the furriest mascot of online bingo even gets to show off his moves alongside a Beefeater guard.

This particular ad specifically promotes the new Foxy’s Prize Bus promotion, but the company’s Managing Director, Golan Shaked, says that the campaign is just the start of Foxy’s UK tour, where they’ll be out and about more in local communities, spreading the bingo love, and allowing people to hop on-board the Prize Bus.

If you’ve not already caught them, look out for the new Foxy Bingo ads on ITV, ITV2, ITV3, Channel 4, and Channel 5. Oh – and let us know if you spot the Prize Bus in your area! We want the low-down from you, our roving reporter readers!
