Japan's anti fat lawThe ladies and gents in the Bingo Hideout office are still recovering from the pre-Christmas scrum at the supermarket,  diets forgotten as we gathered up those ‘essential’ holiday supplies of turkey, stuffing, pigs in bankets, Quality Street, boozy double cream etc in the much anticipated seasonal shopping frenzy. Fast forward two or three days later to Boxing Day, and the results of the marathon shopping expedition can be seen as partners lie comatose in armchairs with heavily expanded waistlines (top button of jeans loosened) and cupboards slightly less crammed full.

Piers MorganOK Bingo Hideout fans Piers Morgan and Paris Hilton getting married  isn’t strictly true and is just a sham marriage for TV cameras, but even in jest what is Paris Hilton thinking of walking down the aisle with the unctuous Piers Morgan.  Even though Paris might well be the Queen of the untalented limelight seekers and agree to do more or less anything to get her self-satisfied perfectly made up mug in the glossy mags and on TV surely even she must have more self-respect than to don a wedding gown and exchange rings with Piers?

Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen jailed Christmas Day, read Bingo Hideout

Charlie Sheen and wifeBingo Hideout readers may not feel quite so bad about the odd cross word they may have had over the Christmas period when they hear the Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen has allegedly gone over the top after a row on Christmas day. Police arrived at the actors rented home in Aspen, Colorado after a domestic incident was reported. The actor apparently was arrested after it was claimed he pulled a knife on his wife, Brooke Mueller and was hauled off to spend some cooling off time in the local police cells.

Top Gear to be axed?Top Gear for the chop, can't be true surely! Well dear Bingo Hideout readers 2009 has been pretty dire with celebrity deaths aplenty and now with the tragic news that there is every possibility that Top Gear could be axed could things really get any worse?  Waiting patiently as we have in the Bingo Hideout office for our free tickets for the filming of Top Gear it now appears that our eternity of waiting is now unlikely to bring the result that we were all looking for.  How can life be so cruel that we have lost the likes of Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett and Stephen Gately only to have hints from the BBC2 Top Gear producer Andy Wilman that Clarkson et al will be added to the list of casualties!

Bingo Hideout sad to report of tragic death of Brittany Murphy

Brittany MurphyBingo Hideout team are sad to report on the death of Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy, the news that Brittany aged only 32 had died of a heart attack broke in the UK late yesterday evening.  Brittany now joins a growing list of celebrity deaths this year which includes icons such as Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze and of course one of our own pop star celebrities Stephen Gately. Certainly the list of tragic deaths this year just seems to keep growing and growing and none are more sad than a young star at the peak of their career who is taken seemingly well before their time.

Bingo Hideout say RATM and McElderry No 1race is almost won

RATM facebook campaignBingo Hideout music fans will be sitting close to their radios this evening in anticipation of the long awaited announcement of the UK Christmas No.1.  Will it be the highly predictable X Factor single by the latest young winner, Joe McElderry or the Rage Against The Machine anarchic anthem against the music industry big gun Simon Cowell?  There have been some pretty amazing names coming out in support of the RATM single Killing in the Name including Fern Cotton and reportedly Paul McCartney himself! Rage Against The Machine are pledging to put on a free UK concert in 2010 should the single top the UK chart this Christmas.

Tiger and wife ElinOk so the guys in Bingo Hideout’s The Buzz office said that we wouldn't continue with the whole Tiger Woods stories but unfortunately we have been forced to go back on our word.  The reason we have reneged on our agreement to our Bingo Hideout readers is because of the breaking news stories in America that Elin Nordegen is planning to file for divorce in the New Year.  Insiders are stating that Tiger’s wife plans to start the divorce proceeding in California rather than in Florida as she would receive a better alimony payment with a 50 / 50 split possible.

How tweet - poppy in the snowThe snowy weather is the talk of the Bingo Hideout office and of course the rest of the nation.  Those that have had snow are either; a. Overjoyed and playing like 3 years olds in the white stuff or b. Moaning continually about the inconvenience.  Similarly those that haven’t had any sign of snow are a. Overjoyed because they are not being inconvenienced or b. Moaning about the fact they don’t have any snow to play about like 3 year olds in! The heavy snow has caused major disruption to parts of the UK with road, airport and school closures and with more snow predicted for parts of the UK it could get worse before it gets better.

Rage for Christmas No.1So Bingo Hideout and the Buzz readers, which camp will you be in this Christmas for the two contenders for the race to the Christmas No 1 …. X Factor or RATM?  Will you be in the X Factor camp, firmly supporting Joe McElderry with the whiter than white ‘The Climb’ or in the Alternative Rock camp with the classic effing and jeffing  Rage Against The Machine track ‘Killing in the Name’? There has never been anything like it for stirring up Christmas pop controversy, with a clear division not only in the UK as a whole but also in some work places and households.  Christmas is always a time renowned for twee and schmaltzy, with the biggest controversy seen in previous years being the peculiar decision to ban Cliff Richard's single ‘The Millennium Prayer’.

X Factor judge?Dear Bingo Hideout and The Buzz readers, we have some X Factor news that will just about put a smile on any female bingo players face (there would likely be a few men smiling too!).  The music supremo Simon Cowell has been hinting that Robbie Williams may be a judge on the X Factor.  If this is true and Robbie Williams is to be a judge then without doubt the popular singing contest would be a whole different affair.  How would the female judges cope with Robbie possibly sandwiched between them?
