 Crown Bingo

As you may have noticed, September has a lot going for it by way of literary interest. First up there's the International Literacy Day on September 8th and International Adult Learner's Week. These wonderful causes are being supported by online bingo sites across the UK in order to raise awareness and funds to improve conditions that lead to lack of facilities. One of the leading lights who has taken this as well as the National Roald Dahl Day mantel on are Crown Bingo.

Big Friendly Games

Roald Dahl Day is celebrated on the 13th September so running alongside the push for literacy, Crown Bingo is aiming to get us all reading more with free book tokens. Everyday from Monday 7th to Sunday 13th, you too can take part in this attempt to get everyone reading across the globe if you're the lucky player in their fab Book Worm chat game.

Savour these ideas...

After giving your mind food for thought, the kings of the game want to feed your body too, and will be hosting a competition from 19th September to 4th October to win a fab dinner for two in our great capital city. Accommodation is to be included in the prize, so you and someone special can really make a meal of your prize! All you have to do to be the lucky one to indulge is to write about your favourite British dishes, recipes and to send in your favourite food stories! Since the mouth watering prize is well worth the effort, now's the time to plough through old aunt Aggie's recipe book or to ask your mum about her family's secret ingredients! Get investigating now and you could be licking your chops with satisfaction.

Help others to help themselves

crownbingo.com are also well known for their drive to raise funds for charity, and this month you can help one of the smaller local charities that often get overlooked by bigger brand names. The West End Women and Girls Centre is a charity working in the West End of Newcastle providing a safe environment for girls as young as five to play and socialise. With two hundred girls on their books, this charity offers an essential space for girls to learn and play and yet are in desperate need of funding.

Games to raise money are held on Monday 14th September between 7 and 9pm, so put it in your diary and help to keep this community safe.
