altBack in September 2012, we told you how Robin Hood Bingo was investigated by the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) following a complaint by a member of the public about one of their TV ads, which she claimed was likely to attract minors, and appeared to portray under-age ‘maidens.’ Luckily, our hero in green tights was found not guilty of any wrong-doing, and was sent back to Sherwood Forest on his trusty steed.

This month, they’re returning to our TV sets for (hopefully) all the right reasons, with a brand-new ad campaign.  Timed to coincide with the launch of their Money Train promotion, which offers players the chance to win £25,000 on November 7th 2012, the new adverts are popping up in living rooms all across the country, promoting the site’s motto of “you play, we give away.”

Robin Hood Bingo’s latest incentives are certainly tasty food for thought. There’s now a “4-for-Free” offer that gives new, non-depositing players free bingo games for up to four days after they register at the site. If they then choose to fund their account, they get a £25 welcome bonus and, of course, access to plenty more free-play rooms, where there are guaranteed cash jackpots waiting to be ambushed.

The brand promoter behind the site (as well as others such as Moon, Gossip, Polo, Glorious and Spectra), Netboost Media, say that they’re really pleased with the site’s performance since its launch in January 2012. Their CEO, Adi Frum, says that the latest TV campaign celebrates “all the site’s achievements to date, as well as new features we’ll be launching soon.”

Having seen an apparent lull in the amount of bingo being advertised recently, it’s certainly refreshing to see Robin back on our screens. Let’s just hope no-one takes offence and reports the poor fellow to the ASA again!

Also newly-returning to some prime-time ad space is 888Ladies with their front-man (or should that be front-woman?) Vic Reeves. Having been noticeably absent of late, we’ve been missing these comedy ads, which show the popular comedian and TV personality, Vic, getting dressed up (and sometimes down) as a lady, grooving around his sitting-room, and preparing to login and play bingo at his favourite site. This time Vic and 888Ladies are back to promote their new and improved welcome offer, which now provides players with £5 free on registration, plus a 200% first deposit bonus.

Have our eagle-eyed readers spotted either of these two ads on your television screens yet? If so, what do you think of them?
