Sky Bingo

We have come up with a rescue recipe for bingo halls everywhere. Instead of outdoor facilities for smokers, unhealthy snacks and alcohol we reckon they could be the new face of fitness ! Research shows that playing bingo is helpful in the teatment of dementia. Walking, running or cycling to the hall could see pounds dropped and physical fitness improved dramatically. Holding and using hand weights could even see the demise of the much publicised bingo wings. Once there the players could sample the delights of low fat snacks such as carrot batons and fruit slices washed down with the occasional pineapple smoothie. For the really keen nicotine patches could be provided and ballroom dancing in the intervals.

Themed nights could include yoga with corresponding lycra and chanting or disco music and moves between games. Resident experts could advise on individual problems and prizes could include weekends at health spas or outwardbound centres in the Lake District. Of course the best prize would be the sense of satisfaction in meeting our personal fitness targets wouldn't it ? Why didn't someone think of this before I hear you ask !!

Each week seven new on line sites are launched and established sites are having makeovers or relaunches. To compete with the comfort and convenience of our front rooms the halls need a gimmick. OK maybe hordes of fitness fanatics flocking their way through town is a bit far fetched but then again it might attract NHS funding. Headlines could read Bingo ! New government initiative to improve health of nation.
